Travel plans to Yosemite Ridge Resort-question

We will be traveling on 8/30 to Yosemite. We plan to leave Phoenix Friday morning and stop somewhere between Phoenix and Yosemite. We have a 34 ft Silverback. Suggestions on a route or an overnight site for 8/30? Not looking forward to CA rush hour ( we use to live there). We are scheduled to arrive at Yosemite Ridge Resort on 8/31. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Are you headed up 395 and over Tioga Pass (Lee Vining) route?

If so stop outside Mammoth Lakes before you get to June Lake at a free camp ground called Glass Creek.

Trying to plan the route now.... We FW may be in Flagstaff, so might leave from there.

Take some photos and tell us how your trip was when you return. That Yosemite Ridge Resort looks like a great place to use as a base camp for your visit.

You bet!! Just not sure if we can get there "safely' with our FW. Directions are all over the place, even with Good Sam's.

Hey Bogey3025, that resort you picked for your stay near Yosemite looks pretty good but I couldn't figure out how to get there even reading the directions on their website.

Yosemite Ridge is a good spot. The road is somewhat windy, but is ok for about any size rig. We were there a couple of years ago with a 37" MH, and had no trouble.

Whichever way you decide to come in, either 120 from the west or 120 from the east, is doable. You might want to think twice about 120 from the east, as it is a hard, steep climb, although many do it.

Just take your time and enjoy!!
