Traveling to Yellowstone Best Route

Daughter is getting married next spring in Aspen Colorado. We're thinking of pulling our FR pop-up out there and going on to Yellowstone. From the atlas it appears that we will have to backtrack to Denver and take I-25 up, or else go further west and take another interstate up to the west side of the park. Are there any good roads more direct than that? How about braking on the downhills? My TV is a Chrysler Pacifica. The PUP has electric brakes that have never been used, since the car has only a standard 4-prong electrical hookup.

This is both an alert for those traveling to Yellowstone/Teton from the south and a request for routing advice.
I am presently in Jackson WY at the very pricey but superbly located Virginian RV park for a couple of days.
Route 89/191 north of here passing by Teton and into Yellowstone has been closed for 3 days now due to smoke from fires. If you were planning on the southern entrance to Yellowstone in the next few days...you may want to consider a backup plan.

I just completed going north on 191 from Rock Springs (I80) and it was an easy drive for any type of RV...was expecting much worse. We have reservations at Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone in 2 days and driving north on 191 may not be an option if the fires continue.
Looking at alternate routes...I'm thinking of heading WEST on rt 33 & 32 to route 20 north and going into the park from West Yellowstone. I am wondering if anyone has done the rt.33/32 section and if it is a reasonable choice for a class A gasser.

neither you can take 131 . then 40 then i think 14 to walden up to sarasota wy to 80 then rock springs up to pinedale then idaho falls and 20 into west yellow stone that's the way i go every yr . easy roads great scenic drive . only two passes between aspen and sarasota rabbit ears and sheep mtn

There's 33 and 22 / teton pass 10% grades very steep and long . better going 26 to idaho falls and then 20 up

We took Hwy 287 (near Ft Collins, CO) up to I-80 west then at Rawlings, WY reconnected with Hwy 287 all the way to Moran Junction.... It's a great drive and no major grades to contend with... (We were in a 40' class A towing or car). I highly recommend it....

I had to use Teton pass today since the southern route to Yellowstone is now predicted to remain closed through the weekend.
The pass is tough but doable for most I think since the roads are in very good shape and have good shoulders. Grades are up to 10% so the going is slow on some long uphill pulls. There are lots of curves but nothing too tight or narrow. Will be going the reverse course in a few days after Yellowstone if things don't open back up.
West Entrance to Yellowstone and all Loop roads remain open.

We are heading to Colter Bay from Salt Lake City September 9. Any suggestions on the best route from Salt Lake City?

Come in through the city of West Yellowstone.... Great RV park there Grizzly RV Park - abt 1 mile from west entrance into park....

we will be out about that time, and could not get a site there. We will be at Yellowstone Holiday RV campground. If you can't get a site at Grizzly try Yellowstone.
