In short, yes.
Being that the truck and trailer in my signature are both about maxed out weight wise, the combination tows nicely.
From Everett, WA we can't really go anywhere east without going over passes ranging from 3k to 5k feet. The power of the Ecoboost is plentiful and can maintain 62mph without issue. On the steeper climbs, monitoring the transmission temp, it has never gone above 218° and cools down very quickly.
So far, I've towed the trailer 3250 miles and it's been very good.
If you have anymore specific questions about towing with the f150 or in this area, shoot me a PM.

i also have no problem with my TracerAir 255 over Highway 2. but the Cascades are way easier than the Sierras or Rockies.
but i did them with my Avalanche, so my F150 Ecoboost will have an easier time. I80 over Donner Pass is 7239ft., so much higher than Highway 2 or 90.

I pulled an 8,000lb trailer over Wolf Creek Pass with our F150 ecoboost with not problem. Trans temp did rise a bit but it was fine.
Two things to keep in mind; The ecoboost turbos push the air into the engine so the power loss from high altitude does not happen, it runs the same at 10,000 ft as it does at sea level and these engines with their sensors, monitors and controls won't hurt themselves. It will downshift or limit the engine speed to protect itself from harm if you push it too hard.

Thanks for the response but for our first trip I'm going to stick to the interstates.
#2 sounds awesome, maybe next time.

US 2 through Glacier National park
First let me say thank all of you for all the info! You have convinced me to take US 2 from Fargo ND to Seattle. We are currently camped at Devils Lake, ND and the drive along US 2 has been wonderful.
I would like to ask about US 2 through Glacier N.P.? Is the road friendly for a 35' FR Georgetown? Any tips, warnings or cautions?
US 2 through Glacier N.P looks awesome on Google Maps. America the Beautiful at it's best. We are going to take the "Red Bus Tour" from the
Apgar Visitors Center in West Glacier.
Again, thanks for your help. Hope to hear from you soon.

No problem at all driving Hwy 2 through Glacier. We pulled a 40ft 5th wheel from east to west on that road with no issues. You cross the continental divide and cover some elevation change, but if you keep it slow and in low gears, you'll be fine

In June 2011 we drove from West Glacier to East Glacier on US 2 in our Sunseeker 3100 towing a car. It was just fine. We enjoyed the drive.

Haven't been in years but make sure you allow plenty of time to get thru Glacier, it can get pretty busy.

If you travel US 2 through Montana, there's a nice city park in Malta with RV sites. It's $5 per night, with no hookups or dump station. There's a very nice restroom, but I don't think it has showers. One source mentioned a sporting goods store on the south side of town has a dump station if you need it.
There are also two regular RV parks within 1/4 mile of the city park if you need hookups.

We took that route also. Beautiful country. We saw so many Pronghorn, it was crazy.
