You picked a good campground, it's just a couple of blocks from the West entrance to Yellowstone. The park is very clean, the staff is very helpful, and you get full hookups.

I wish I would have taken a few more photos of Grizzly RV Park but I was more concerned with photographing the beauty of Yellowstone. I do have a few pictures of the campground to share though.

Grizzly is a popular campground, and on weekends the line to get registered can get long. Not to worry though, they are very efficient at getting everyone registered.

When we called to get our reservations the only thing they had left was a back in site that was too small to accomodate both truck and trailer. I had to park the truck in overflow parking. Not a big deal though. They DO NOT allow parking on the grass.

The next two photos are just views of the roads and pull through sites.

I'm green with envy of your trip to Yellowstone.

I'm with you Nigels, I can't wait to get back again. Since I probably won't get a chance to go this year, then I will definitely go again in 2013.

We will be in West Yellowstone at the Grizzle Campground July 1st -6th
I was told the fireworks display on the 4th is great.
Maybe us FROGS can get together.
I will have my FROG parking sign up so you know Iggy is there.
Stop by if we are home.

I have a favor to ask of those who go to Yellowstone/Tetons this year, please, please, please, post about your trip when you return. If you can, post some pictures too. I would really appreciate it. I simply can't get enough of Yellowstone.

Went to Yellowstone and Grizzly RV last year and had a blast! Here are some pics to whet your appetite for this years trip.

We had breakfast 3 days in a row at Running Bear Pancake House, my stomach is reminiscing vocally right now. There is some wait but we found it worth it.

Enjoy!

A Yellowstone weather question. Typically when has the snow departed? We need to go from BC to Ontario leaving the first week in May and given the price of gas we are going the whole way in the states. We were thinking of spending a week or two hiking/exploring around the Yellowstone and Grand Teton Parks. What we are trying to figure out is if we need to detour down into Oregon and chill on the coast for a bit to arrive after the white stuff departs the lower elevations in the parks?

All feedback from those who have gone before us greatly appreciated.
