Thumbs up Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada

We had a great visit this year to Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. I was really amazed by the colors of the sandstone and how accessible everything was. It's not a huge area but really packed with unique landscapes to explore. Also they have a great camping area.

We plan to return this fall to explore it more.

Ray

Been there once for a day trip and hope to camp there someday. We loved it and have hundreds of pictures to prove it.

Great pics. You caught our attention. We were looking for a Vegas area stop on our way to Bryce. The Campground looks ok by sattelite. Will the spots handle a 35' class A with a toad? Do you think there would be sites availablle Memorial Day evening?

There are some bigger sites you could look on this site at photos of the sites.
Valley of Fire State Park

Not sure how busy it will be then, but there is boondocking just out of the park towards Overton called Poverty Flats. Might be too hot for that though, not sure of temps this time of year, we were there in April and was warm some days around 80 degrees.

Cheers Ray

Awesone. I think we will fit just fine. DW loves the rocks and you are right there amongst them.

Thanks
