I have the Allstays app. Haven't used it much yet. It does show Walmarts. Some are "ask to park" others are "no overnight parking." Seems to be a very complete app. Shows rest areas, truck stops, bridges with low clearance, as well as campgrounds, etc.

Just keep the duct (or is it Duck I never can remember) tape handy and you'll be OK.

San Diego area

San Diego
Santee
and
Lakeside, Calif
seem to be ok here for a short stop
there was a guy a while back at our local WalMart
who I thought to be pushing it way too far
he was working on his rig
and
when he left
he dumped his grey water

clowns like him blow it for the rest

I stayed in a few WalMart parking lots
while traveling up to northern Calif
there was never a problem

Thanks RvBill. It looks like they want about $10 for the complete APP. I hope it is worth it.

Also, if you buy a map book (can't think of the name of it) but the one with every sate--oversized--from Wal-mart it has a whole section in the back listing all the wal-marts in the US and wether you can camp overnight or not. It worked out beautifully for us! I think my kids were most excited to spend one night in the Wal-mart parking lot! Bring ear plugs as the semis run their generators all night!
