I was told in Orlando, they made the laws after people were emptying sewer tanks on the walmart lot.....needless to say, spoiling it for everybody else.

wasnt there recently a guy who went to visit his sick mom or something, and used the yahoo group to find a walmart that was rv friendly to park at and got towed? I believe he even asked someone in the store...maybe not the manager???

he was driving a high end motorhome (not the christmas vacation cousin eddy stuff i see parked around here lol)....took off in his toad to see mom, came back and his 500k coach was gone! ....that would suck....

We stop at Cracker Barrel restaurants for overnight stops. They have a map and list those that provide for RV parking. Besides we like their breakfasts in the morning.

Walmarts allow the overnight parking as they assume you are going to go in the store, shop, and go back to your RV with an armload of goods. Drive around the parking lot, many of the Walmarts have a water spigot with the red lift handles for RVs Park your RV way in the back opposite the front door, or park next to the semis. They don't want you blocking any parking spots for cars/pickups. Also realize that when you are at one Wallyworld, there is another one close say 20-30 miles. Anybody give you a bad time, drive to the next one.

Question

Since when did the local Walmart become such an attraction that it rated its own thread? What am I missing out on? Please send pics of the good times to be had at Walmart!

Anyone know the name of the app that shows a list of the stores that do and don't? A friend was at a Wal-Mart in Florida and they came to tell him they don't allow rv's overnight. He was actually shopping prior to checking in at his campground.

Link to Walmart Camping

OK, seriously now. The Allstays website has a list of Walmarts that do and don't allow overnight camping and they also show that they have an APP for smart phones.
Allstay Walmart Link
If you install the APP please provide a review.
