Where would you stay in southern California for the summer months?

MY DW and I are considering setting up our motorhome in southern California for June, July and August.
We really like the water and cooler temps and wanted to hear about suggestions from others who have done this before.

We live in Arizona and looking for a nice rv resort or park in southern Ca.
I know it will be pricey but looking for a really nice park to spend the summer. We have spent time in Chula Vista Marina RV park but its a little older and space is tight.

Looking forward to your suggestions?

Thanks

Big bear shores rv resort. We rented a spot from an owner that wasn't using it and loved it. Space 69 is the one that is in my avitar.

Ha! I just saw it was you Iggy! You would have to go the back way up the mountain just as if you were coming from hemet. Much easier climb and not as many turns I've been told. When we went up from Barstow way, 15% grade and some tight turns really took the wind out of Clifford.

Orangeland RV Park in Anaheim (just a scoot from Disneyland) isn't bad. Rancho Jarupa near Riverside is not bad and of course there is Pomona Fairplex in Pomona. Just a few we have stayed at. Big Bear is at the 8000 foot level and if the lake has not been drained by now due to the drought is a nice place to stay. However; you would have to come down the mountain to get to any Southern Cal tourist sites and then there's that drive back up the mountain. although, packing it in there for a few days would probably be real nice. Sounds as though you're going to be there for awhile and perhaps moving around would be the ticket. You could scout out locations till you found one that you liked. Hope the draught doesn't put a damper on any of your plans. Stay safe.

Fiddlers Cove down in SD. Great prices right on the beach.
An hour north San Ono fre or Del Mar also are great places.

Socal park

Vista has a new park Olive Avenue at $800 month plus electric. There is a great regional park at Santee Lakes, very pretty but more inland. There are great military parks in the San Diego, Oceanside area but extremely busy in the summer, no monthly sites available. Anything in Socal will need reservations way in advance. State parks are spend and have no hookups.

If you want to be near or on the beach look at the State Parks along the beaches of Orange Co.
Bolsa Chica State park, Crystal Cove, Doheny, San Clemente. Not a lot of amenities but close to or on the beach.
For a higher end Newport Beach Resort and Marina | Newport Dunes in Newport Beach.

San Diego. Because of the high fire danger this year stay out of the mountains. (Big Bear)
