Sorry it took so long to answer but I was away.
This road is a dirt/gravel road and is narrow for two way car traffic.
It would be a really slow drive at 15-20 mph the length of it and take many hours. No place to pull off with an RV as you are in the open plains.

Now if you want to get rock chips and worry about the other drivers getting angry about a big RV then go ahead.
If you want to do it I would suggest with a car or truck but nothing bigger.
The park service may also have signs up with restrictions on the entry.

You can Google map the road and actually see a lot more is you search using Sage Creek Rd.
Hope this helps and here is the eastern entrance from the paved road to unpaved Sage Creek Rd

This information is from Yellowstone National Park.

Because of above average snowfall this year, the Lewis Lake Campground in Yellowstone won’t be opening as scheduled this week. Here are two pictures of the registration board at the campground. You can click on the pictures to make them larger.

This is what the Lewis Lake registration board looks like mid-summer.

This is what the board looked like on June 6th. You can barely see the two support posts sticking out of the snow.
