Several of our friends have been there and also said its a "must see". We have always been enroute to or from Moab Utah and haven't had time to get there. Bryce Canyon and Zion are both on our "todo" list when we retire and have all the time in the world to slow down, explore and enjoy.

Thanks for sharing.

We stayed at the River RV resort, 12 miles from the Zion NP entrance.
The place was great, clean everywhere including the showers whihc we used just to try them out. OUr site was #12 (60ft long). Make sure to stay on the lower site numbers...#10 - 20 and not near the road.

my wife has more Pics...so if you want just say so....
word of advise, reserve your site 3 or 4 months ahead.....we paid 45/nt for 7 days....the nect door neighbor paid $170 walk in.(but then again he drove in on a Prevost)

NWJeeper,

You wont regret it and I agree, time is all you need. This place is calm and very nice. We are planning to go next year, same place for longer time so we can make a trip to Brice as well.

PS- My wife and I enjoyed your pcis as well, thanks for sharing....a MH is on our plans down the road once the kids are older so we can get up there in your neck of the woods.

We drove through last Saturday. Definitely must see. But I would wait a few months for them to finish the road work. We will be going back when we have more time.

Great pics, Willie. Thanks for sharing.

It's been 14 years since we made it out that way. Your pics bring back a lot of good memories.

Glad you enjoyed your trip and hope it's just one of many to come.

Good luck and happy camping!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, I should mention that the credit for the pictures goes to the boss. She is quite good with her camera, I just point and shoot.

I heard Bryce is just as nice so we're planning on going there next year as soon as school is out. We plan on doing quite bit of camping.....gotta do something when the kids soccer season is over and let me tell you....we can't wait 'til is over

Thanks for the pictures and information about River RV Resort Utah.
I have already checked out the website and left a message for more information about campsites.

Here is the link if others want to check it out.

Zion National Park RV Park and Campground

I also have a campsite map if anyone wants it.

We were in the "area" for 31 days in June.
Bryce and Zion were in the top 2 or 3 of our favorites from the
entire trip.
You need to move them closer to the top of your to do list!
Save something else for "when I retire....."
Here's a couple pix to whet your appetite.
first is Zion
2nd is Bryce
Go there!!

Told my wife we were going to every park with
Canyon in the name. Went to several canyons that
don't have it in the name too.

Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches, Dead Horse Point,
Colorado national monument, North Rim Grand Canyon
and many more.....
Each were unique and we loved them all.
It's really hard to pick a top one out of that trip.
We actually liked Dead Horse Point Utah state park more
than the North Rim because you can easily see the
Colorado river from DHP but you can't see it from
the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Dead Horse Point, Canyonlands and Arches are all in your
mandatory Moab stop.
You need at least 3 days in Moab so you can spend a full day at each of these great parks.

Sorry, don't want to steal this Zion thread

The shuttles in Zion run constantly and will drop you
where ever you want to go in minutes.
It's a great setup and included in your park admission.
Gotta love Zion.
Bryce is probably our 1st pick but it's a tough choice!
