2004 georgetown fridge eletric to gas

Hi.
I'm having a problem with the fridge changing over from electric to gas so that I can travel with it. This is happens most of the time. I hear it trying to change over then the check light comes on in about a minute. I don't smell any gas and I'm not sure if it is getting any. any suggestions?

Most likely the gas line needs to purge and this is a very small orifice so it takes quite a while to get gas. You may help it by lighting the stove to get some propane into the line nearer to the frig.
My frig usually has to be reset two or three times before it will have gas available to light off after a long down period.
