2010 Georgetown 300FWS Strange roof??

Well I'm purchasing a 2010 Georgetown 300fws..The dealer advertised it as having a Fiberglass roof... But it sure does look and feels like a rubber roof... No signs of leaks , no seams.... My rv inspector asked the saleman about it and he responded it was a fiberglass roof wrapped in something...inspector stated he had never seen that... But the roof looked good..Not sure if this makes a difference roof ladder is on driverside..compared to a 2006 and 2014 where ladder was on right side ..

Went up on the roof of a 2014 Georgetown xl and noticed the roof looks different more textured shiny, slippery...

Could someone have layed a rubber roof over the fiberglass??
Could it have come factory with a rubber roof??

Any help would be appreciated..thank you

I have the same coach. It is not fiberglass but I don't think that it a bad thing. Fiberglass roofs are harder to repair if there are ever any issues.

If you search this model on this forum you will find some that had some initial problems with the slide. Make sure it goes in and out smoothly without having to stop and start.

Also check the hydraulic hoses for the jacks. If they are orange you might want the dealer to replace them because they are subject to blistering. You can again search the forum for orange hoses for more info

We love the floor plan. So far minimal problems.

Good luck with your purchase.

Undr60 ..thank you for info...As for leveling jacks dealer is in process of repairing... Needed new manifold.. And one of the jacks are leaking..... I'm not familiar with the dealer so I am not picking up untill leveling system is fixed...

I agree the floor plan is great for us as well...the full slide makes it seem very roomy... And on the highway during test drive she ran smooth and straight..
