2011 -2012 Ford F53 Bare Chassis Information

The Ford F53 Chassis with its V-10 has been around a good number of years and I have gathered some information for this chassis for all who own a Georgetown. If you have any additional documents please add them. Here is what I have.

I really would like to find more on the electrical system if anoyone has.

Hey Iggy, did you actually get a 2012 chassy with your rig? We got a 2011 chassy with our 2012 rig which wasn't really surprising after I thought about it for a bit.

Well, All I can say is it is a 2012 VIN number but the chassis was built by Ford on Oct 14, 2011

So what is the difference between the two years? Anything?

Send a message via Skype™ to Falcon35
Our early 2012 Georgetown 378 is on a 2011 chassis.
It is up to your dealer to fax the inservice date to Ford.
The records showed that ours was still owned by Forest River after we had owned it ten months. The dealer also registered it by the coach vin # not by the chassis #.
The dealer caught that when I took it in for first service. That is also how I found out about the recall that is being done to-day.

Not sure if there are any differences......I just snagged the PDF of the 2011 color glossy borchure from the ford website for when I sell the coach so I have all the specs. Grabbed the 2012 one from the Forest River site too. Always easier to sell things with pretty pictures

I just found a great location for some really informative documents for the Michelin Tires.
It has all the specs for all their RV tires and shows how to properly inspect the tire as well as weighing your RV on a scale and figuring out what is the proper PSI.

Well worth looking at all the documents especially the "RV Tire Guide".
You can download and print.

I was just about to start searching for a Ford manual for my 2007 Georgetown. The previous owner doesn't remember what he did with it. I am assuming that there aren't that many significant differences with the manual you posted, so many thanks Iggy.

This was incredibly helpful! I'm looking at a sister product (2013 Coachmen Encounter, 2012 chassis), so having all this info in one place saved me a lot of work! Thank you! I'd be interested in the electrical stuff too. Hopefully someone has that.

These are very helpful! We just got our new rig (our first motorized), so we're trying to sponge-up anything we can get our hands on!

Iggy, you left out the oil filter #. It'll look better if you go back and edit your post to include it rather than me post it...!
