2012 329ds slide motor location

I have been looking for the slide motor locations just in case of a problem. I cannot find them assuming that there are separate motors for the two slides. I have a cable and pulley type of system.

They should be inside at the top of the slide behind a wooden valance if its a cable setup.

The slide system seems to be pretty reliable. The only issue I had with mine was a twisted cable making a loud thump noise when the slide came in. Easily fixed after removing the valence at the top of the slide as Iggy mentioned. Once that is off the motor and cables are visible.
