You may want someone to do this that has done it before.
But if you feel confident after I tell you. You ar eon your own.
1. Under the exterior water heater panel you will notice 2 metal L brackets.
You will need to take out the screws.
2. Take off the outer door for the heater.
3. You will need to remove the frame that probable is painter and sealed with silicone around the edges. If you carefully cut the silicone bead around so it will come off.
4.Next step is to unscrew the 4 long screws that attach the frame to the water tank.
If you done this you should be able to remove the frame without bending it and put it to the side.
5. Now you have will see on right and left a few screws holding the metal to the actual Georgetown cargo door. Remove them.
6. If you have gone this you now can pivot the cargo door up and you will need someone to hold it or a long stick so it is up out of your way.
No you can not remove it but don't take it any higher than it easily swivels.
Now you will see the tank, valves, fittings, cheap tank stand and a few more things.
You should be able to fix whatever you want now. Then reverse to process.
Hope this give you an idea of what needs to be done.
Sorry no pictures when I did it.
Good luck
