It takes power from the house batteries to charge the coach battery/starting battery.

So pushing this wont solve my 32 code on the genset?

I wish the dealers would do a better walk through when you buy a new motorhome.

Thanks

On our walk through we were told it could help either direction that is low. The boost switch just temporally connects the house batteries and starting battery. I would try it. Could also start up engine so that battery
Is being charged by alternator while boost to start gen.

B&E RV Service in Ocala is a qualified Forest River repair center. I don't know if they can help but they are good mechanics and fair. They were recommended by the Elkhart Forest River Repair Center.

Can you start your engine? If so, it will charge the coach batteries enough to start generator. May take a few minutes. I have done that.

I think the purpose of the dash switch is to use coach batteries to start engine (at least, that's what I was told during our PDI). Not sure about the other way.

If engine battery is dead, you can jump that, especially if you have road service.

GABoy is correct.
When you hold the switch it will attach house and engine batteries together. If your engine battery is dead it will help get your engine started.
That's all it does.
