2014 georgetown 350xl power awning switch

The awning power switch , located by the entrance steps, is active even when the engine is on.

I would like to be able to deactivate that switch so it does not work when the engine is on .

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

Yes, I think it is fused directly off the battery. A kill switch in series with the awning switch is a possibility that immediately comes to mind. There probably is a dozen other ways to accomplish what you want. Don't know anyone that has a concern.

I put a lock on my power awning that prevents the awning itself from moving while towing just in case something happens to the switch, remote or the motor just disengaging.
