2014 Georgetown XL Wiper Arm and blade

I was driving to California yesterday when my entire wiper arm snapped off and flew away during high winds. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new wiper arm and blade for my coach. I am presently in Santee, CA. and don't know where to get one.

Thank you

Look for a truck repair shop, even if the arm isn't the same but fits it can get you on the road and find the right one when you get home.

My new 2016 did the same thing (passenger side) the first time I used it. Taking it in for warranty next week.

I think this is an ongoing issue with a lot of FR models. Our Legacy had the same thing happen but luckily didn't fly off, just came loose and dropped to the side of the windshield. The shop folks "fixed" it by tightening the acorn nut on the spindle at the base of the arm - it tends to come loose, mainly because the FR folks didn't put it together using the serrated washer indicated and provided by the wiper system manufacturer. Instead, they used a standard flat washer. After tightening the driver side and ignoring the passenger side (typical service idiots!), my passenger side came loose, flopped over under the driver side and bent the fool out of the wiper arm. I managed to find new blades that fit (they were all bent up, too) at Camping World (Trico makes a very heavy duty wiper unit, much heavier and nicer than the OEM), but the only source I can find for the new arm is to order it directly from FR at a cost of about $40 (not bad from what I've seen elsewhere for other arms). I removed the arm myself, pounded it out straight and used vice grips and Crescent wrenches to twist it back into shape and I think I can live with it as it is now. Be sure to tighten the acorn nuts on both sides! I'm beginning to think FR should issue a safety recall on this since wipers are involved. FR: Are you listening???

I just checked mine to insure I had the proper lock washer under the acorn nut.

See red lines in picture.

Sorry to hear you are having problems, but thanks for the post. We're taking off to the Oregon coast next week, (rainy season). I checked my wipers and one was loose! I changed both the flat washers to internal "star" locking washers, and added a drop of loctite blue on the threads before tightening the nuts. I feel safer now!

Don't forget to call you GT rep at FR. I just had a problem with a propane regulator. So, I called Travis and he said, "just have it fixed wherever you can and send us the bill"!

Wish that would work for me. I spoke with Mitch and Isaac and they both confirmed that I would have to go to a FR authorized dealer and have them submit it as warranty. Told them I would do the install if they could send me the parts but no go.
