Hm, what's the reason for staying away from Camping World? I have been talking to them about doing an install for me. Roadmaster baseplate, Roadmaster Sterling tow bar, Invisibrake, wiring kit (keep the toad's battery charged), and switch for the toad brake lights. Whole quote they gave me is about $3900 with parts, labor, and tax. There are cheaper components they are happy to install if I want, but after research I like these.
The prices for their individual components are a bit higher than what I could find online, but no way in hell I'm installing that baseplate on my C-Max myself. I've watched the process and I don't have the time or experience for something like that, so I don't mind paying the slight premium to get them to do it. I did call another place in town and their quote was very similar, so don't feel I'm getting ripped off, and I really liked the service guy I talked to.
Does Camping World have a rep for bad work or what?
