Personally, I choose not to have a washer/dryer in my MH. But if you do, you don't want all the added moisture from the dryer dumped into your MH.

We have the vented Splendide in our Silverback....we had our dealer install it but the installation doesn't appear to be that complicated.....got to use it on a recent Gulf Coast trip for 7 days and you learn to take your time washing and drying loads and don't overload....we set ours to wash only and then at the end of that cycle it reminds you to go get the things out of the washer, shake out the wrinkles, and return them then for the drying cycle...if not, they tend to dry in a ball.....don't think the DW would do without it now....returning home, washing is out of the way...just one less thing to do.

X2 on the vented.
Just to let you know that it is designed for smaller loads than home.
As the manual says don't wait until you run out of closed before you start washing as it takes longer to wash and dry.
We usually do small loads on day 4 or 5. Socks underwear.
Jeans and shirts you have to plan for a longer drying time.
Anyway you already are paying for the water and electric so you just sit back and enjoy your location and don't rush the washer. lol

I attached the manual which you should read completely.

Good luck

Just a guess but most GT owners are probably not full timers and have much less need for a washer/dryer. If I were a full timer or close to it I would have a vented model.

I believe a ventless model vents through the drain pipe and not into the motor home.

The vent less unit has a condenser that converts the moist air back to water and dumps it down the drain. It's like a dehumidifier in a house.
I just installed a vented unit in my 5er the other week. Everything was in my RV for hookups except the vent. The only issue I had was the venting because it was our front bedroom closet. The closet was shallow and the 4" vent pipe only had 2 inches of room behind it. Then the vent needed to go the floor of the closet which was tricky. I did get it to work after adapters, cutting through walls and floors in the end. If I was doing it again the vent less is would be an easy install. But if was doing the vented unit again I would pay Camping World the flat rate $79 to install it. But I didn't have that option.
Oh! The Splendide does work good, just smaller loads.

Like I said Camping World has a flat rate of $79 plus extra parts if they sell it to you. We had another couple behind us at CW and wanted to have there used one installed. The quote was something like $400 to install ($100-120/hr rate). So get the Splendide at good price and the install at a steal!
