329DS Overhead Bunk in 351DS

I have a 2012 351DS and love it. Was wondering if it is possible to have my dealer install the optional overhead front bunk for the 329DS in my 351DS. Have a call in to the dealer but thought somebody on the forum may be able to comment. Tired of my 3 kids fighting over the bunks. They don't like sleeping on the couch blow up mattress or the dinette bed. Would also be nice to leave the couch bed intact.

Regards,

Jeff

I actually asked this question at the RV show this weekend. The answer was a very firm no. They stated the coach had to built with the overhead bed supports in the walls.

Interesting. Good to know. Was this a Forest River rep saying this or a dealer rep?

Thanks! Makes you wonder why they don't just reinforce them from the start and have it be another option. Would give everybody in the chain a way to make extra $$. Love my RV and the lifestyle but the industry seems to miss things at times. Maybe I need to start my own RV company.

I made a couch that opens up into bunkbeds. I removed the old one and put in the new.

You should get a patent on that and sell the design to the RV and Boating industry.

I just looked at a 351ds yesterday. The limit posted in the rv was 200 lbs for the front pull down bunk.
