335 DS hitch height / wiring questions

Just more newbie questions...

I've confirmed that the build date for our new 335DS is set for the 28th, so I am hoping we take delivery by late April. Since I want to use it right away, I now need to know the height of the hitch receiver. I am sure we will need an adapter of some sort to get the ball to the right height. Questions:
1.) What is the height of the receiver? (so I know how much adjustment is needed)

2.) What is the proper name for the piece that lowers the ball to the correct height? Are they widely available? (I don't want to go in asking for the bent draw bar thinggy....)

3.) I am assuming that the MH is prewired for towing. What is the wiring receptical at the hitch? (Flat , round, how many pins)

Hi Jim,
On my 2013 350XL, the height of the hitch is 22 inches to the center of the receiver. But I believe the 335DS has 19.5 inch wheels instead of the 22.5 inch wheels. So I would assume the height would be close to 20 inches or so. The units come with the round 7 pin connection.. A drop hitch adapter is what you need. I had to get an 8 inch drop for my blue ox hitch.

The 335DS is a nice unit. I really like that floorplan.

Drop hitches are readily available at auto parts stores. You can also adjust the height by the type of ball. Most trailers assume 18" for a level pull. On our 2004, i just snagged the hitch from my PU and it worked fine - fairly small drop. Your dealer probably has a selection to set you up right.
