364 front furnace design flaw repair attempt

For many of you with a 364 I am sure you have noticed on cold mornings or nights you get no heat in the mid bathroom and hall.. It due to the furnace fan system being to week to deliver warm air.. We I am working on a cure.. So far I have mounted an Atwood bilge blower down near the frame to push more air to the rear.. So far I have used a 12 volt battery and hooked up the fan and now air come out of those mentioned vents very nicely.. So now I am trying to route a power line to the fan on the furnace to the assist fan.. I hope the system can handle it

You could wire in a small relay that would use very little power and bring a fused line off the battery bank. We really haven't noticed any lack of heat in the bathroom, but we only heat to around 65-67 and have only been down into the 30's at lowest temp.

Hey RVNUT,
Did you see my postings for the repairs to my front furnace? I'm getting a halfway decent flow of air now.

You're right RVnut, growing old isn't all it is cracked up to be and I really thought it would've taken a lot longer to get there than it did. lol

well I got the relay all hooked up and tried it this morning and it works great.. Of course it is 90 during the day and 40 in the morning so we wont get a true test till November in Montana but I can feel a big difference.. It was pumping out heat and did not effect the front two vents.. The DW and I am a happy camper.. Now the new grill is on the way and then we will have a fully functioning MH.. That takes care of that design flaw

Thats right I remember that one.. Well this thread has the cure that works great and both fans come on together just like it should of been made.. It also makes no extra noise inside and just a little more outside.. Below are the parts I used and add some 12 and 10 gauge wire and connectors

Awesome, thanks for the parts links. I'm putting this one on my potential list of projects if ours ends up having this issue too.
