364 steps

So our three step set up is getting slow at retracting after two heavily used two years.. I lubed all the joints and it seems a slight bit better but my real issue is since the door blocks using the steps up the middle since it dont open all the way we always favor walking up the aft side of the steps.. No big deal but now the steps when extended are sagging on the aft side when extended and seem very spongy.. Anyone else have these issues?? I have started putting wood blocks on the rear most side of the steps and it helps but looks tacky

You might try and clean the wire connections to the step motor along with lubing. something else you might consider is getting one or two of these ( I use two) to brace your step. only problem is forgetting to pick them up when leaving.

If the steps sag when fully retracted might want to verify the aft mounting bolts are snug.

Do you have the Lippert steps?
I had 2 sets of Lippert steps and after they started to become "spongy" the pivot bolt broke. They only lasted for 1 year each. Lippert finally replaced them with Kwikee steps and they are solid.
Don't know if you are aware of the Lippert step recall, but there is one. This may be your problem but I am only guessing.
