364ts generator battery

Which battery does the generator start off of.
When it is plugged in or just sitting there if I try and start the generator it clicks like low battery.
If I start the motorhome and let it sit there a few minutes then. The generator starts right up. I checked connections and everything seems good so next is to check the batteries.
Any other ideas?

Normally your generator starts off the coach batteries, Your transfer switch should prevent generation operation while on shore power. If you have been plugged in allot you may want to do a check of your coach batteries.

Ahhh ok so it won't start on shore power. When I pull shore power the batteries show full charge still but it clicks when trying to start until a few minutes after I start the chassis engine. Do I need to turn the inverter Off or disconnect battery or something?

What he meant was it will start on the coach batteries while at a campground plugged into shore power. It just won't transfer power to the motorhome.

What you described says that your coach batteries are bad or low, or not being charged when the generator starter clicks in and out.

Hmm ok thanks. It shows they are charging and full when I disconnect. They also are able to run the fridge on the inverter overnight. I'll have to test them though. Thanks

All those led light mean is that the charger is on and producing enough power to show full charge.

How old is your Georgetown and the coach batteries?

I do think you need to have the batteries tested.

Your batteries are probably installed in late 2014 so if you have never done any servicing on them one or both may be going bad.
I change mine every 3 years. If you want to depend on them on being good all the time.

Walmart checks them

I have a 2000 Georgetown that the new 12v battery is not charging off the engine, generator or when its plugged in. I have checked voltage for the invertor. 13.5 volts out of one side of regulator and reading 10 volts off the battery on the otherside. Put in another battery still same issue. Anyone have issues with the regulator?

it sounds to me like you have your battery hooked up backwards.

One red lead and one ground is all that is connected. Not that. Checked the battery switch and that works. No light on the power switch box. Still pulling my hair out!
