364TS Recliner Sofa Question
I don't know if we have a defective recliner or if it's designed to be the way it is. I reported it as a warranty item and will wait to hear from the dealer and FR. Here's my isssue...
The day we purchased the MH I pulled the lever, the footrest came out, and then I couldn't figure out how to push the footrest back down. Left it that way and reported the issue for them to clear up during prep.
When we did the walk-through I tried it again and had the same result. We didn't take delivery that day so I reported it again so that they could fix it up (along with other issues the dealer found right before walk-through).
Came back two weeks later and they showed me how the recliner works--they said we need to use the back of our heals and pull the footrest towards the seat and then the footrest will release. I tried this and it seemed to work OK, shrugged my shoulders and then drove it home.
After our first trip we found that none of us were able to reliably lower the footrests on the sofa. We either helped each other out by lifting up and pushing in the footrest (helper) while the person seated lifted their legs up. If the person enjoying the recliner didn't have help they had to find a way off the couch (think kids playground and the slide) so they could use their hands to release the footrest so that it could be lowered. Not fun for the over 60 crowd.
So is this an anomaly or does yours work that way as well? I think FR uses this recliner sleeper sofa in other models than the 364TS.
