377 XL black water indicator
Emptied black water and indicator inside still shows three quarter full. Any ideas?

This rig is brand new so I may have to take it back to service. Guess as long as I know the level, it should not be a big issue.

Those factory installed probes are worthless.
If I could get to my tanks, I would do the Horst Probe mod but these GT MH's have the tanks up inside the chassis and are sprayed with a foam insulation underneath.
So, I generally flush the black tank well at each emptying and when the probes show it full, I watch the level manually or, if convenient, dump.
The gray tank is harder to watch manually but as long as there is nothing entering the shower, I am OK.

For now all I would do is fill and flush and drain the tank a couple of time.
I have also use plenty of water when I flush and only use septic tank safe toilet paper (usually only 2 ply) . No napkins, tissues or paper towels at all.

Sometimes due to rsidual moisture in the tank the indices may illuminate for awhile till dried. Mine does the same thing for a time period sometimes after cleanout.

You will be paying. This is not a warranty item.

I would try a 72 hour treatment of Rid-X or Unique's RV-Digest-It.

Of course, I get back tonight and the indicator seems to be working fine. That is how it goes sometimes.

Now be honest. Since you installed have you ever gotton any false readings in either tanks?
Thanks

Never the black tank since the install. Standard 1 cap Calgon;1 cap laundry detergent.
No so lucky with the gray tank. Something got on one of the gray water sensors (the spiral ones) and the 1/3 light has been intermittently stuck ON when empty last year.
http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...tor-26746.html
If you remember from the article I did on the MicroMonitor system, the resistance on ANY probe to the ground probe only has to drop from infinity (open circuit) to less than 188K Ohms to turn on the 1/3 light.
It has been stubbornly resistant to sensor cleaner. I think I have a hair ball caught on the spiral. When I get back from Cape May I am going to drop the panel and meter the probes to find out which one is my problem.
If I had it to do over again (and I still might) I would spend the extra 10 bucks and put black water sensors (the one with the shielded wire) in the gray tank too.

After dumping: About every three trips or so. I add about 10 pounds of ice and about two gallons of water and 1 cup of simple green in the black tank and 1 cup of simple green to the gray tanks. On the drive home it seams to slosh around and clean the tanks up. I am on my third rig now and have never had to replaced a sensor yet !

When I swapped out the probes for the Horst unit, this was what the GRAY tank probes looked like.

Just a suggestion, if you blast the tank once a month with a tank "rinser" from Wally World for about $9.00 it'll keep the tank probes working. I made one from plastic pipe for about $5.00. Just direct the nozzle towards the sensor end, 2 minutes of cleaning they are working!
