Also, where did you find the exploded view? There is not one in the owners manual. Their website??

raycyn778,
The left freezer door does not seal at the top. We have a big block of ice there. I sent John Armstrong a picture and he told me they will fix it when we bring it in to Elkhart.

Okay, this may be a really dumb post on why the fridge doesn't dispence water....but do you have it turned on? I noticed when winterizing mine that unless you have the fridge turned on you won't get water. You would think that water pressure would flow regardless of fridge power but this is not the case on my 2012.....

I was trying to flow antifreeze through mine and got nothing even though the pump was powered and water was flowing everywhere else. Started swearing and trying to think troubleshooting steps and the wife asked if the fridge was turned on. I'm really glad I bit my tongue and powered it before saying what I was thinking cause she was right....

I think that VunceU has it right, that it is an electrical issue, first the ice/water dispensors do not work and then the automatic ignition-on fridge door locks do not work either. And the lower left door does not lock even when the doors are locked manually. a slight pull and it opens right up. we had a quart of milk fly out onto the floor our last time out on the road. How do you like yours? how long have you had it and do you have any issues with it??

Dometic woes......
Ray
Yes the exploded view are on the Dometic site under consumer tools, Service parts. Most parts are shown except major assemblys. This includes solonoids, gaskets, fasteners etc.
Door locking is a function of allignment. The center latch is the first device to attempt to straighten to get all pins to catch. My right freezer door refused to latch at times account of leveling. I ended up carefully diassembling the pin from the door corner. Added a spacer to the back to make just slightly longer and boom it worked! All doors now latch even in "airing position".
My unit is a 2012 378 and we enjoy it. This being my fourth motorhome, trust me they all had similar problems including internal water leaks behind walls and worse. With the help of this site will continue to improve it.

we keep our fridge at 34 degrees, sitting on #4. Just where I want it, it does go up to 37 when going through it's auto defrost routine. The cooling fans in the back of the refer are a bit loud when your standing by it outside, never hear it in the coach.

For the problem of no water, did you turn on the water supply, a lift valve in the outside compartment in the back back of the refer.

We had the same problem and the valve is not completely opened. We have this refrig and were on our 3rd ice maker we also have a new main board. We have a 2011 Georgetown. Hope this helps. Were beginning to think we have a lemon.

Hi and thanks for the post...the valve was completely open as when I took off the line from the fridge, the water shot out about 20'. Dealer called yesterday and said they are installing a new board and getting a wiring diagram for the ignition lock as they had never heard of that feature. I had to show the service manager the fridge manual to prove it.Are you having problems with the ice maker in the fridge or the door dispensor? what other problems have you had? Mine has been in the shop for over 4 weeks now..hopw to get it back this week..

Hoping to travel soon

The first thing to go was the main board. They had to reorder three times because it was the wrong board. We just bought it and that was a second day. Then the ice maker went. It will make ice then spit out water. Were on our third ice maker. We've had the RV 7 months. This was brand new Aug 2011. We've had numerous other problems with it too. AC, Stove, Steps, etc. We to have new motor installed on steps but the motor was not good. QC is an issue and inferior parts being used.

Wow, that is depressing to hear....Mine was brand new in Nov. 2011 but is considered a 2012 for some reason. The real 2012's have front end changes and more head room inside but are basically the same. since my ice maker never worked I don't know what to expect. Do you have a 378 and does your fridge have the ice and water dispensor on the door?

Fridge Problem

Heres a dwg. from Forest River (Adaption of RV Custom battery control) showing two terminal blocks at bottom. Fuse #4 on right block supplies the Reefer doors lock coil. Its fed via blue wire to Dometic input TB at back of fridge. The box normal 12V supplies the opening voltage. Note the blue lead is only energized when the chassis ign. switch is on.

Hope this is helpful.

We bought ours in Aug 2011 brand new. We have the Dometic 4 door water on left door ice on the right (in the freezer). We have a 378. Today we got a recall on the truck itself. Does anyone know about the awning. The hydraulics are rusted already. Glad we bought it new. I hate to see this thing in 5 years. Sad.

Vince, thanks so much. Do you have the fridge ignition lock set up on yours? And does it work? Which fridge do you have? I just picked up my coach from my dealer for warranty work and they say that they called FR and they said that they (the factory) do not hook this option up on their RV's. Sounds hard to believe. do you know anything about that?? They are going to replace my fridge as they were unable to get the door dispensors to work and FR is replacing it...and if it is supposed to be working, I am going to get on them to hook it up when they install the new fridge....i think it is a great safety feature as we have already had a fridge door open and milk came flying out while we were traveling

Wow dejavu! My dealer also told me locking door not available on Gas chassis Amazing cause FR routed the wire and paid for the feature of locking!
Yes mine is now working and is quite handy. I have a 2012 387 with Dometic 4 door model 1350 wim which stands for Water and ice maker. The only difference is the water is on the door, the ice is by tray only. The problem with mine was the alt wire leading up the box to the latch was parted during installation (another dealer). Tell your dealer must have 14 volts on power terminal back of box with engine running. BTW this refrig is $3500 discount retail, great when it works!

My lock works and worked from day one. Dometic has a real quality control problem.
The dealer replaced the one that came from FR and the new one the freezer door still leaks and there going to fix it for me when we stop in at Elkhart.

Know what about the awning? Also, don't understand what you mean about the hydraulics being rusted. The recall on the chassis is no big thing. Getting mine fixed on the way home from south texas. We've lived in ours full time since Aug. 2010 and are mighty happy with it.
