378XL TV Probs

We traded in our 335 for a new 378xl. It has the little round antenna on top. Our problem is we can only get 5 good stations and sometimes no sound and heavy pixelation? I know area has to do with some stuff but this is frustrating. We are at Gold Head State park in Keystone Heights FL.

We scan and reset the inside and out side tv constantly.

Anyone else have this happen.

As you already know, make sure the booster is on. If you know that you should have more channels for that area then you could have problems with your coax. On our brand new coach I ended up fixing a lot of them because they were either connected wrong or had bad connector crimps. Works flawlessly now.

Thanks for the reply.

My booster is on. Some of the connections in the service areas i cant even reach (lol)

I really dont like the idea to take out the fireplace to check connections but if thats what i have to do.

Really makes me mad that a brand new MH has issues. Since we live in it the thought of having it in at a dealer make it that much worse.

Some of those "round" antennas are omni directional units. The gain is lower in all directions but you don't have to "point" it in a certain direction. Do you have the ability to rotate it, or just raise and lower it?

I believe he has the same setup as we do. The antenna cannot be adjusted or raised.

Do you have a manual switch box above the passenger's seat? I found most of my issues there.

We have a Winguard roadstar 3000 which came installed on the 378. No crank or up and down. I did read that the range is like 35 miles for reception. We are like 42 from Jaxonville and 40 from gainsville. (maybe thats the problem)

However

I will check the switch box up front for any loose connections.

I had the same problem. The issue was with the TV. When I did my first scan it scanned from "cable". I learned later to scan from "antenna".

Thanks everyone

I have checked all connections and all are tight.

Guy in the park is having same problem with his Omni Directional. Seems we are to far from Jacksonville and Gainsville for any good reception.
