37XL Georgetown rooftop ac

We are gearing up to Winterize our motor home for the first time. We are new to the motor home world. I am hoping someone can help me with recommendations on covering the rooftop AC units. We are in Massachusetts so our winters get tricky. Should we cover them with tarps or should we purchase custom made AC unit covers?. Should we just cover the whole roof? Would anybody happen to know if there is a certain size I should be ordering if I were to get custom AC covers?

You will get answers BUT "tarps" are never a good idea. Form fitted is the only way to go. Tarps work loose and can cause abrasive damage. Not good! As far as a full unit cover, those with experience will reply. Those need to fit properly and be synched down snug. If you go that route, do not go cheap.
Your RV spec sheets list the brand and size of your a/c's. Any rv center can get you the correct fit should you opt to do so.
You can start your inquiry regarding covers by using the search function on the forum.

Yes full RV cover with built in vent areas is the only way to go unless you build a shop to put it in like we did this year

Do the dealers cover the A/Cs or put covers on their inventory?

We don't cover ours at all. Never had an issue. Northeast Ontario. Need I say more?

Never saw a dealer cover any units!
Heat is as bad as cold. Those rv's COOK in hot climates, never covered.

We're in Alberta. Winter can be -40C with blowing snow. Never covered the air conditioner vents and have not had any issues. Done it this way for over 10 years.
