I had the same issue and was told that the placement of the compressor exposes it the extreme heat from the exhaust manifold and this is common on the Ford chasis with the V10. The Ford dealer replaced it without question.

I know this is a old thread but was the AC compressor replaced by Ford or what? Was it just a bad seal ?

You need to update your information as it doesn't have what year or anything about your Georgetown?

Does anyone know the details on the ford warranty. I've noticed some oil drips on the bottom on my AC compressor too. But my chassis is a 2007 so I don't know if it'd still be under warranty or not.

According to my documents, the warranty is 3yr 36,000 mile bumper to bumper and 5yr 60,000 mile powertrain. It would depend on your in-service date when the coach was first registered to determine when the coverages end. I would check with your local dealer.

I have a 2008 chassis with a 2010 in-service date. The nice part is the taxes and tags where figured as used when it was purchased new. The down side is that the depreciation was greater when we took possession. Thankfully the price we paid reflected that fact....

I have a 08 GTown, just had compressor replaced last week at 38,000 miles. Have had lots of trouble since new with not getting very cold, well the seal did blow out, could easily see where it had been leaking. Dealer said they have replaced many!, mainly from non useage.I'm not a fan of extended warranties, but for some reason I purchased it, have used it multiple times for the steps, a new stator for generator at 2200 bucks, and this compressor was 1100.
So, finally have cold air now, I think it was leaking from the start.
