A/C compressor went out -378TS

I took our GT 378TS into a Ford dealer this morning to have them check why the dash a/c was not cooling.

They informed me thet the compressor was an AFTERMARKET compressor and they could not work on it. The Tech said that there were no evident identifying markings to show what knd of compressor it is.

I've left a voice mail message with April at FR warranty service.

Does anyone on the forum know what a/c compressor brand.

We're going to Phoenix on Wednesday and it would be nice to have the dash a/c working or know of a place that would work on it in Phoenix?

Thanks,
Pete

The Ford window sticker for our 2011 chassis says ac prep.

Did the Ford tech check anything?
Or just turn it back to you.

Someone else had the the same issue. Ford just preps it but FR add the compressor and dashboard to finalized the MH. So FR needs to be contacted or your dealer if still under any warrantee.

If it's like our 2009 parts were supplied by Evans Tempcon installed by forest river.

Thanks for your help. April Conner stated that FR bought their F53 chassis with the A/C compressor as part of the chassis to eliminate "just the problem I'm having".

But.....I'm still caught in the middle between Ford and FR.

Am going to email Dan Evans now.

Thanks for all of your comments, Pete

Here's the link to the service bulletin from Ford. It also references the service bulletin from Evans. https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/non-html/Q-208.pdf

Our 08 Georgetown had no air when I drove it off the lot, compressor would not come on. Went between ford and a local forest river dealer because I bought it in Florida. Ford dealer diagnosed the problem, and it was on the conversion side. Turned out to be a thermostat control module type part, accessible under the dash.

Many thanks to Dan Evans at Forest River. He got back to me in a very timely manner.

Attached diagram shows dash A/C compressor is on the Ford side of the chassis; not an Evans Tempcon installation.

Thought I would attach it for those who are building their component documentation files.
