We had the same thing happen on our Berkshire. Determined that it was a chassis problem and took it to Freightliner. They fixed it under warranty.

X2, Chassis manufacturer problem. Not F.R. related.

Evans Tempcon, Inc

This is the Dash AC System Manufacturer on our Georgetown. Most likely they are still using them. Just for reference and a list of service centers.

Looking at the litertaure on my unit it appears that the dash air has it's own stand alone warrenty. You might check the manuals and call the customer service line for that.

Can anyone give me a hint on how to take off the cover to check the fuses in the engine compartment ? My dash has stopped working on my Georgetown 374 and I'd like to check out the compressor fuse before I proceed any further. The cover does not seem to want to budge.

Thanks!

There's a slide piece on the left that you need to move. Even after that it's still tough to open. I used a screwdriver to get the thing open and preserve my hands from all the other close pieces. You'd think they were storing gold in there.

It is on the low pressure side so it is a fr issue, not ford

HAd the same issue....blowing hot air.

Took unit to RV service center. They checked it out and said it was a leaking Shrader valve. Replaced it, re-charged and it worked fine.

Now I have a different issue. Just returned from Colorado. Dash air is blowing cold air, BUT....it stops blowing upon acceleration or when RPM is 2,205 rpm or above. When going slow, less than 40 mph, it works.

Does anyone know if the Evans Tempcon dash unit in anyway uses a vacuum air system to activate the AC fan unit?

Sounds like a vacuum line is off or leaking and one of the doors is closing when there is not enough vacuum to keep it open.
