AC Problems

Our AC unit wants to run when the thermostate is in the off position. then when you turn it on the fan kicks on. It is trying to start when it is off. Any help?

Can you give us more information?
You have two AC units.
Not sure what you mean by tries to start.
Are the fans in Auto mode and not in Low or high mode?
Are both having the same issues?

Thanks

As Iggy has pointed out, it is a common occurrence that if you don't have the fan in auto mode with these digital thermostats, that the A/c fan will come on when the furnace is on also.

We have several threads on this, and how to put your thermostat in the auto mode.
