The main seal in the compressor leaked, and had oil visible on the exterior. They replaced the compressor and recharged the freon. The service tech said it is a common problem on the F-53, but Ford had not issued a service bulletin on it. Both repair visits were covered by Ford's 3 year chassis warranty.

Wow, makes you wonder where they get their mechs from. That would be the first place I would look...stick the sensor around the clutch area on the compressor first, then turn the ac/fan on and stick the sensor in the vents, then go from there.
