AC while on the road

AC (2 units) running with Onan genset on while traveling on the road quit but thermostats still have power. After turning both units off then back on they work fine and no more problems the rest of the trip and the return trip home. Gas tank was over half full. 2014 Georgetown XL 377. Any ideas what could have happened?

The thermostats work off of the 12 volt system, completely different from the 120 volts. As for why they quit is another issue.
Did the ATS kick off?
Did the generator die?

Did the ATS kick off or did you continue to have 120 volts?

I haven't pulled a code, beyond my expertise, but have a friend who can do trouble shooting for me.

Friends are great to have. Your friend will show you how to pull a code. Not hard to do. The manual is very detailed on how to do it and should also have a list of the codes.
Wish you all the best and an easy fix.

See current post asking transfer switch or generator. My breakers do not always trip in that scenario.

Late to the party.... But this happens to me usually at least once a trip. Same deal, just turn the ac off, wait a few, then turn it back on and all good.

Never thought about the ATS or the 12V system possibly causing something like that. Will have to look a little bit further into this.

Mine run fine on generator going down the road. But I never have the water heater on electric.
