RVIA Member Manufacturers of Recreational Vehicles and Recreational Park Trailers agree to build their units to the following RVIA adopted standards.
Recreational Vehicles (RV)
2011 edition - NFPA 1192 Standard for RVs - Covers Plumbing, propane and Fire & Life Safety
2011 edition - ANSI/RVIA Standard for Low Voltage Systems in Conversion & RVS 12V Standard - Covers 12 Volt Electrical Systems
2011 edition - National Electrical Code (NEC) (See Article 551) - Covers 120V Electrical Systems
RVIA Handbook - A guide to ANSI/NFPA 1192 -Outlines enforcement positions based on the above standards that are used by RVIA inspectors during RV manufacturer member inspections
Recreational Park Trailers (RPT)
2009 edition - ANSI A119.5 Recreational Park Trailer Standard - Covers Fuel Systems, Fire & Life Safety, Plumbing and Construction Requirements
2011 edition - National Electrical Code (NEC) (See Article 552) - Covers 120V and 12V Electrical Systems

Note the reference to NFPA 70 article 551 and 552 for park models.
You can believe what you want however when the printed codes and the manufactures specification sheets (Square D, Siemons, Cutler Hammer etc)
permit the use of a breaker as a switch I will use it as a switch. Keep in mind this is in an RV and not an airplane, helicopter, space shuttle or ocean going ship.
