Adding Heater Vent in Bathroom

We have a 2012 378 XL and was wondering if anyone has added a heater vent in the bathroom. We are staying up in Idaho for the winter and without keeping the bathroom door open it will get very cold in there . So I got to thinking and looking and here is my idea.

1. cut a vent (hole) in the bottom under the cabinet doors.
2. install pvc and run it through the back wall to the heater location reason for pvc is so it will not get crushed. this is our dirty cloths hamper.
3. connect it to one of the pop out vents on the heater.

I am open to any and all suggestions, would like to know what everyone else has done about this issue/problem.

Thanks in Advance and look forward to your thoughts

I'm not too familiar with the 378's floor vent locations but if you measure in from the side the duct runs directly front to back. Is it possible to add a floor register with a damper to adjust the volume of air? My concern of using one of the knock-out pieces on the furnace would be reducing the air-flow throughout the rest of the coach. Those furnaces duct down into the trunkline running front to back. If the duct you want to add is short, the air will leave the system through the path of least resistence, namely the bathroom while the front and rear of the coach will have the air-flow reduced. You may solve one issue but create two in it's place. At least if you can install a floor register into the trunkline with a damper you'll still have the integrity of the duct system while being able to adjust the amount of heat to that area.

We have two of those little ceramic cube heaters and put one on the floor right next to the sink. Although, we do have a furnace floor vent already in the bath area. As long as we are hooked up to shore power I will do everything I can do to avoid using our propane to maintain heat. Just cheap like that I guess.

I would go with a small ceramic or oil heater rather than the mod. I have a vent in my 2005 GT but use a small heater in the living area with the bath door open when cold. But, we don't stay in really cold weather. In any event, I agree "use the campground elect rather than your propane" .

Why spend the winter in Idaho when you can enjoy the sun, blue skies and lots of warm temps here in southern Arizona.

10 day weather forecast link to Phoenix AZ weather.
GREAT WEATHER!
