I installed front sumo springs on my 2014 georgetown and it reduced body roll immensely. I considered regular air bags but did not want to mess with installing an air pump and having to check air pressure on a regular basis. Sumo springs are great since once you install it their is nothing to maintain.

Yesterday I installed the Sumo springs on the front of my motorhome. Pretty easy and straight forward. Checked the left rear and it looked like it would be easy then took a look at the right rear. What a surprise! There is a steel propane line running on the top of the frame rail right where the Sumo spring is supposed to go. To make it even worse, there is a steel plate welded to the frame rail to provide protection for the steel propane line in the event debris is thrown up by the tires or if a tire was to experience tread separation. Going to take a lot of thought to determine if I can (or want to) relocate the propane line.

Here is a youtube video of a guy that used a flex propane line to go around that spot.

bclinton: Thank you very much it offers an interesting solution Fortunately for him he did not have a steel plate welded to the frame rail to protect the gas line.

I just installed my rears yesterday. Looking at my 2017 GT3 it looks like they raised the gas line up to the top of frame rail. When I took the wheels off and began trying to figure out how to install them I thought for sure I would have something in the way. The hanger for the stock sway bar looked like it would be an issue but was a fraction of an inch out of the way. One tip....get 2 Milwaukee Cobalt 10X 3/8 inch drill bits from home depot. The drilling was a lot of work. Each bit lasted for 4 holes. Well worth the 10 bucks for the bit.

Take a pic of the area and call super springs. They have probably heard of this before

HONDAMAN174: Took your suggestion and sent pictures along with brief description of my issue to Super Springs. They responded within three minutes saying my issue had been forwarded to their engineering department and I would be receiving an update when available. That is excellent customer service so far.

Final Install Completed

Yesterday I worked with a mobile RV repair guy I use and we (he did most of the work) managed to install the rear Sumo Springs on both the passenger and driver side. To top it off we were able to drill the necessary holes, mount the brackets, bags, etc., WITHOUT having to remove the steel plate I mentioned in an earlier email, or rerouting the steel propane line. To top it off we did not have to remove any of the rear wheels and we accomplished all the work on my RV storage pad at my house.

In a couple of days I will take it out for a test drive.
