When we're in the living area we turn on the rear AC only and use a small fan to move air up front, we do the opposite when sleeping.

Do you have the quick cool down open or just using the vents. I know they are very loud with the quick cool open, but not too bad using just the vents. Also we changed out the TV to a sony which works a lot better for volume. We also installed a sound bar. What's been posted are the only solutions I know off.

I purchased a wireless headphone from Amazon. Got a headphone for my wife and I and no more issues with the A/C interfering.

We went to Wal-Mart and purchased a male to male audio cable for $7.96. Connected one end to TV other end to Radio. Now we hear TV through our radio speakers. You can control where you want the speakers on.

Classic coach works on hwy 92 near Lakeland FL makes an attractive cover that replaces your inside plastic ac ceiling mount. This cover is custom made and has its own removable washable filter in it. This cover mounts to the ceiling of your coach in place of the inside plastic grill on your ac. They can cover it in white or off white leatherette material to match your ceiling. I purchased one of these approx three years ago for my previous class A and transferred it to my current 378XL two years ago when I traded the older coach for my georgetown. I am pleased with the results and I'd say it reduces the noise by about 50 percent. Only drawback is you will loose your ability to use the quick cool feature of your ac. ie the cold air will only be blowing out your vents. I can now enjoy TV without having to turn the volume so high the neighbors complain. Now let me warn you they are very proud of this invention and I thought it was overpriced but after purchasing it I do not regret departing with the money I spent. I think I paid around 300 dollars for it to have it shipped to me. I had previously visited their facility while in the area and saw this unique cover and later contacted them and ordered one after getting tired of having to blast the tv to watch. They fabricate these in their cabinet shop and it is well made. I will try and post a picture of mine in a few.

psgrandpa1, the thermostat may be set to always run. Set it to auto fan. The fan will then cycle on and off with the compressor.

Interesting. I may have to look into one of those. I assume that they are made in such a way that the intake airflow is not reduced?

Cheap fix to ac noise
I used "memory foam" mattress pad material cut to fit the under side of the "air dump" vent. Taped it in place with foil duct tape. Reduced noise by about 50%. Like other solutions you are losing the air dump feature and forcing air thru ceiling vents. Sorry did not take pics.....

It's a speaker system in a bar form with built in amplifier. Most have Bluetooth , so you can use on other devices. Some have am-fm radio as well. They sell starting at about $60 and go up. You can look up on target, Walmart, or similar stores Then decide the size and $$ you want for your pleasure. Good luck

Roof airs are loud because unlike your house all the noise making components are right above your head! Every RV I have owned was noisy and I am a light sleeper. Pain in the a..

Wife & I are in Boise tonight. Hit 102 here today. I have both AC's on with Low fan. Much less noise than on Hi or Auto. Watching the Cav's kicking Golden States butt and can hear every word.
