Alignment

What's the going rate for an alignment on a two axle Georgetown and where is a good place to get it done?

I would recommend going to a truck repair shop, they will have the facilities to handle this size of vehicle. Our local Ford dealership can do the medium duty truck servicing but couldn't do alignments.

We have a local Cummins facility that is part of the Coachcare network, I take our RV there for servicing of both the engine\drivetrain and generator. They can do other repairs except body work, and I'm sure could do an alignment.

I can't help with costs, sorry. We had our coach aligned within a few months and it was covered under the Forest River warranty. Our dealership doesn't do alignments, but took it to the truck service center next door that they work with and took care of everything, I never saw the bill.

I used a Ford commercial truck shop. It cost me about $125 for the front axle.

Thanks everyone. I did check all my local Ford dealers and none could handle a vehicle this large. Found a medium duty truck dealer in Denver to do the job. They have quoted $80 - $95. I hope there are no surprises!

I just had my alignment done at a Rush medium duty truck dealership. Great folks and price was only $86. Tech took me for a test drive and shared lots of great information. I think they have locations around the country. Check them out.

i took mine to a ford dealer who sub let it out to a local large Truck service center and they did a great job on it as its a lot tighter now. make sure they check the rear axle alignment on the frame. Mine was out and am in the process now of getting ford to fix it. My alignment cost 320 dollars i know that was pricey but i am supposedly being reimbursed by Forrest River for it as the MH was brand new and out of alignment bad

I just had my 2012 327 aligned today. McCarthy tire did it. They have about 40 stores located in the northeast and mid Atlantic. Cost me $125 and did both axles. I was in and out in less then 1 1/2 hr. Good job , good service and good price.

Since I just bought a new 364TS and have yet to take delivery (Monday), how much does the alignment help and why is the need? I'm assuming it comes as a "standard" frame alignment before the coach is assembled and now adjustments are made at the factory.

Because Ford doesn't know what body (how much weight) will be built on the bare chassis they DO NOT do a factory alignment.

Evidently a few (very few) are accidently built with an acceptable alignment.

Depending on where your dealer is your mh could have several 100 miles on it.
It might already have damaged tires.

If we ever get the chance to buy another new Forest River motor home an alignment will part of the PDI!

There are numerous threads that ask that same question but my experience, when I picked up my GT it pulled hard to the right. My main concern was tire wear & drivability. I took it into a Ford dealership and they had to align it as it was off.
Being you haven't picked your GT up yet, Id drive it and document up front if it pulls one way or another

i had mine done due to the front end floating every time i hit a bump. As it turned out the front end was out. they redid it and now it rides much better and handles alot better also. In fact i just received a reimbursement check from FR for 200.00. although my charges were 320 for the front end alignment
