Antenna Installation

Has anyone removed the Wineguard omni directional antenna and replaced it with something else?
I would like to install the new King Jack antenna in its place. I know I will have to make a hole all the way through the roof for the new antenna and was wondering if perhaps someone here had done that and how difficult it might be.

I removed the Omni directional POS and installed the Winegard Rayzar Automatic. Easy to do and based on recommendation from Winegard I moved the Rayzar back away from the air conditioner. Works great and I am happy with it.

I don't have pics but replaced the Omni with a King Jack. It really was pretty simple - the worst part was making the hole through the interior liner since once you do it, there is no going back.

I did have to increase the size of the hole since there is a larger "tube" piece that is part of the king jack, again, no real big deal. Just work slowly, increase the size, test, then increase more.

Definitely helped my reception.

Thanks for the replies.
HookupAndGo convinced me since his unit is the same and other than drilling
the hole the rest of the way through and widening it the cables are already there.
