Amp is in the Passenger side top cabinet over the dash on the back wall behind the sound system in the dark in the 378.There is a push button in/out. One position the amp is on and roof top antenna connected. Other position the amp is off and external cable connection is made. In addition to getting this in the right position the switch box on the sound system/dvd player needs to be selected to the correct mode.
FR has too many cooks.

Read an electronics review somewhere and it said the omni directional will not get as good a reception as a directional because the same "energy" is focused 360 degrees instead of 15. hell if I know what that means. Anyway my trailed had the wingman. I just replaced the head with the "jack" I gained 6 stations! I now have 10 stations including the majors ABC/NBC and CBS. Took 5 min. to install. very happy so far.

it is either free or 2 dollars. It shows you the tv towers and has an antenna pointer on your location dot. You point the phone to the towers and position the antenna the same as the phone. It is a very handy app to have with the jack.
BTW
The flat end of the jack is the front and the pointed end is the back.
There's an app for everything.... Except when the little boys and girls in Washington are having a spat.

The FCC is down SsOo no tower info.

Hi David, Any chance we can get a pic or description of your switch? I'm suffering the same disappointing performance from my new 2013 uni-directional antenna to my previous TT with a crank antenaa. It's not a big deal so I was just going to put up with the reduced reception but if there's a 5 min. fix out there it might be something to consider.

An Update: I went ahead with my plan to install the RCA ANT 751 residential antenna on a short wood pole attached to the rear ladder on the Georgetown when we are parked for a while. It was a day and night difference compared to the omnidirectional Winegard TV antenna. The coax cable simply connects to the cable TV input in the read compartment, no amplifier is needed. The antenna disassembles quickly for storage when we are traveling.

Well I have the old fashion crank model. Other than having to remember to crank it back down when leaving, it works great. Pulls in a beautiful HD picture and in some urban areas I get more than 30 channels. All the usual networks plus a bunch of religious and Spanish stations that I didn't even know were out there and never watch. We have cable at home and truthfully even with several hundred plus channels, other than weather and news, there isn't much that is worth watching. Vampires, zombies, dumb comedies with canned laughter. Mostly junk.
