Are my Jacks slipping
Been parked with jacks down for 2 weeks. Every time my wife or I move in the motorhome and sometimes when we're just sitting, we hear and feel a fairly significant clunking sounds near either the rear or front area of our coach. Used auto levelor when we set up with no issues. Front tires are slightly off the ground. Almost sounds like maybe the chassis is tweaked. Coach is close to level and doesn't seem to have changed. Was going to relevel but we're leaving in the morning for new destination. If I have the same issue there, I'll need to get serous about finding the cause.

We left FL to OH on Friday and made it home today. During our two overnight stops we experienced the same thing. Only once per stay. I figured the levelers are breaking in or something. I'll keep an eye on it though...not sure if it's normal or not.

Could it be air being forced out of the rams and lines?

Doesn't sound like air. It's a heavy CLUNK. Either front or rear. Thinking maybe it could be the springs, but with levelers down, would think they wouldn't be in play. I think at next stop, I'll mark my levelors and see if they move.

Hi, You are not crazy Krazy. The system is most likely popping/creaking. There is a fix

Not a motorhome, but the level up system on towables has had the same problem with the popping. Ours did, we added the "additive", and it isn't gone, but drastically reduced. Other than that, temperature will make a difference in the jacks / fluid as well.

I had read that in the procedure I got from somewhere. Just left it be for now. Maybe I'll get around to it one day. Since we set up for months at a time full timing, we level it the old way, then auto level with the jacks which doesn't do much more than stabilize it at that point, then have jack stands under the frame by each level up jack. Maybe a little overkill, but it never shifts. If we were weekend warriors, I'd auto level and not worry.

Mine popped and creaked all last winter while in Florida. Had me worried but never lost level. Been here 3 months this year and no noise at all.

Looked it up in Wikipedia. Couldn't begin to tell you what it said. While searching I saw the same Lippert Bulletin for Heartland owners. Good to know we're not the only ones going crazy over this. I moved today. Jacks are down and I've only heard noise once. Before it happened every time I moved and sometimes when I didn't.

My dealer completed the process of adding the Addative. I haven't had time to use my MH much since, so not sure it will help or not. We'll be heading South this winter, that will be the true test. Will keep you posted.
