I am having some reupholstering done on the couch cushions as they have begun to peel across the front edge. At the same time I would like to replace the leather (faux) on the captain chairs arm rests. They are very worn. Has anyone been able to remove the arm rests. The material has a zipper at the back but this doesn't allow removal.
The complete arm rest needs to be removed to allow repair. Any suggestions?
If it's a flexsteel chair typically the arm rests can be removed by pushing the arm rest pivot point in toward the back and rotating the arm either up or down and then pullling the arm out of the socket.
