Great information everyone. I can actually see the issue. The bottom step is slightly bent down. Maybe down about an inch, but just enough to be a problem while parked on grass. This weekend we took it out and when the levelers were set the stairs did not even come close to the ground. So I will look to see what can be done to straighten that bottom step and if I can't fix it I will just leave it as-is. Good news is everything seemed to work this weekend. :-)
