Daytime Running lights have been proven in Canada to reduce accidents, especially with animals and motorcycles.

Back to the OP original post. The Stripped chassis is used for all types of uses, I drove a Uhaul Saturday that was stripped down with nothing but a AM/FM radio. Each manufacturer as the OP pointed out only asks for what they want. I wouldn't blame Chevy/Ford for the lack of this. Kenny mentions a simple flash to the ECM to turn these on, seems like a good solution for all to get done. Save lives turn the lights on.

The only problem I have is at night when I am parking the trailer in a campground or some situation where I want to turn the lights off, I can't. The few times this happens does not outweigh the safety factor tho.

I too, still power everything else down before shutting off the vehicle to minimize start up draw on the battery...probably no longer necessary, but it's what my father taught me!

enjoy!!

CANADA requires daylight running light on all vehicles include Cars and Motorcycles. My Motorhome has daylight running lights.

I know a guy who tagged out two years in a row using a Chebby 2500 caliber on elk.

First year damage was fixed, second year MUCH bigger bull totaled it.
