Automatic Transfer Switch

When plugged into shore power, we are getting no power to the coach. I have observed the automatic transfer switch is not pulling in when the park breaker is closed. I can press on the switch and get it to supply power but it will not stay engaged. The generator side works fine. All connections seem good to the shore power side of the ATS as does the voltage coming from the park plug. Any thoughts?

I had the opposite problem when I first got my coach. I had power on shore power, but not the generator, the Dealer had to replace the ATS.

Has it ever worked for you?

Sounds like you may have a bad relay coil.

Have you checked voltage at the coil terminals?

Jeff
It sounds like the contactor coil is bad or the contacts relay coils is bad.
It may also be that you have a wire that may have been loose or off the terminal strip.
These things are very simple and most times the relay is bad.
Here is a simplified diagram that shows how things work.
The relays on my diagram that will stop it from working is the K1 or K2 relay or the thermal overloads are tripped and need resetting.
What brand is yours as FR has a few manufacturers they use.
