Awning adjustment

My awning is almost horizontal when extended. While I can get my step ladder out and adjust the arms to angle it down, the angle is minimal and it is inconvenient if it gets windy or rains hard and I have to get the ladder out and extend the arms before closing it.

Is there any kind of permanent adjustment that can be made so it has more slope when extended?

Almost sounds like a Dometic Power Awning. I've learned to reach from a 3 step stool to quickly release the two thumb screws and close the awning. Sounds easier than to drag a step ladder to both locations. One of these days I'll carefully power close it with the brackets shortened up. maybe it will pop open?
