Backup camera problem

When I put the motorhome in reverse the monitor flashes on and off. It seems like the trigger swish isn't adjusted correctly. Does anyone know where the switch is located and how to adjust it?

Wish I could help you, but I'm not familiar with the camera
wiring on the Georgetown. Although, it sounds like the power from the back-up(reverse light) switch is intermittent.

It's not a switch, it's a trigger wire that is spliced into the backup light circuit. When the backup lights come on it puts +12volts onto that trigger wire which activates the camera. Sounds like a loose connection or a faulty camera system. Don't know where the wiring connections are made.

Do you have a make and model for the system? Do you have a manual for it? If so there probably is a wiring diagram for the system so you can find which wire is the trigger.

Also, don't rule out just a loose ground wire. Loose ground wires account for a majority of electrical problems and are an easy fix.

Thanks Milzat and MWJeeper I will figure out how to pul the monitor out and check the wiring and look for a loose wire. This morning when I left the campsite the backup camera worked perfectly.

The interesting thing I noted this morning is that the camera can be turned on even when not in reverse. Thursday when I had the problem I could not turn on the monitor so a loose wire may be the problem.

Thanks again,
