Red face Banks System Noise

I had the Banks Power Pack installed at their facility in Azusa Ca in October. I noticed a louder noise I assume is coming from the Ran-Air system when you just start to load the engine like a slight incline. Once it shifts to a lower gear it is quieter. I have owned hi-performance cars in the past and the noise the system makes is like a 4 barrel carb when you stomp the gas. It drives my wife nuts! I am thinking of insulating around the air box and adding some more insulation to the dog house cover. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks Rod

I have the Power Pack on my '09 378. I didn't notice any difference after the install............except it had a lot more power!

You're hearing air resonance, common with those free breathing systems. The sound usually comes out the intake side of the airbox or through the filter if it's conical. Insulating the area with something like Dynamat may help.

Nailed it! Who didn't turn the air cleaner cover over on their Quadrajets?

Same "Whoosh", but lasts longer on the V-10's.

Tell her that it's the sound of safety and power....(mostly safety!).
